Construction Materials Services (CMS) was established by Andrew Johnson, in 1998. Mr. Johnson, President of CMS, is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  CMS is a full-service materials laboratory with 19 employees to meet your testing needs both in the laboratory and in the field.

CMS is certified by the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) in the area of soils, asphalt, and aggregate.  Our laboratory maintains certification by the D.O.T in Georgia and North Carolina regarding asphalt mix design.  

 

We specialize in Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering and construction testing and inspection. CMS also provides soil investigations and Design for On-Site Septic Management Systems as well as services involving NPDES Stormwater management.  

 

We have two experienced in-house drill crews to serve our clients.  Our drill fleet includes two truck-mounted rotary drills and all-terrain equipment.
